                                                        Lessons for children’s Bible study

One of the most important callings in the church is that of our children’s Sunday School teachers. Without the persistent dedication of these men and women every week, providing Sunday School lessons for kids, the future generations would have very little help and guidance to know of God and His plan for His children. While being a Sunday School teacher may mean that you don’t usually get to see all of the fruits of your labors, it is important to keep in mind that children are like sponges and even though they may not retain everything we say, you never know which parts will be remembered, so every lesson needs to count.

Here are the top things to think about when preparing your Sunday School curriculum for children's Bible study:
Is it God-centered?: Nowadays, it is more often than not that the Children’s Sunday school lessons will focus around
the human characters in a children’s Bible story or a moral lesson. The Bible is the Word of God and was written so that we may come to know God and His plan for humanity. Make sure that your Children’s Sunday school lessons don’t spend too much time and energy on the people or moral lessons and instead, put the focus on God and His goodness.

As our society continues to change, teenagers face more difficult challenges and choices than ever. Most of our long-standing institutions treat morality with such subjectivity that it can be difficult for teens to know how to chart a course that will lead to a blessed and fulfilled future. Ps. 119:9 asks, "How shall a young person find the straight path? . . . By obeying God's Word."

Will your students understand it?: While everyone has different comprehension levels, it is best to make sure that the curriculum and study materials you work with are suitable for their age group. This means being mindful of which translations of the Bible to use and what subject matter your Sunday School lessons for Children will be about.

Will it stick with them?: In today’s age, people are audio/visual learners and visual elements in your study have been proven to dramatically increase your lesson’s retention rate in the minds of your students. Whether or not you like the idea of using visual elements, it ultimately comes down to how you can do the most for your students to see that they receive and retain what you’re trying to teach them.

Discover How to Help Children in Your Church Develop an AWESOME Relationship With God!

How to REALLY Talk to God
How to REALLY Hear God
How to REALLY Follow God’s Leading in Their Lives!

A new study has shown that over half of all children walk away from Christ after high school – which is a heartbreaking statistic. This means that we must do a better job of reaching children starting now!

Many Christian families and churches spend a great deal of time teaching children Bible stories about Jesus, the prophets, and the disciples. But sadly, the essentials of the Christian faith often get neglected.

Children can attend Sunday school for years and still come up with questions like, “How do I pray?”  & “Why should I pray when God already knows everything?”

At the end of theday
children must understand the living God and learn the fundamentals of how to walk with him.

Harvest Sunday School will teach children the foremost basics on having that true relationship with Christ — the relationship that we leaders & parents envision for them. Children’s will learn how to speak to God.  They will practice hearing God’s voice. They will practice putting Jesus on the throne of their lives and not
removing him when they want to take charge again. They will understand how the Holy Spirit works and how to yield to its messages.

You will be able to set students on the path to true Christian worship and seeing the evidence of God coming alive in them!

Let all directed by the three rules here given.

1. Let our hearts be filled with the word of God. There will not be good practices in the life, unless there be good thoughts, good affections, and good principles in the heart. 2. Let our eyes be fixed upon the word of God, having constant regard to it as the guide of our way, as the rule of our work. 3. Let our tongues be employed about the word of God. Nor will any thing do more to cause prosperity, and keeping up religion in a nation, than the good education of children
